Students graduate upon successful completion of courses leading to a cumulative 120 credits (ECTS).
The Master's Degree Programme in Linguistic Mediation and Translation is a continuation of the study of linguistic mediation, linguistics and various modern languages, as well as first-cycle study courses in humanities and social sciences, provided that students wishing to pursue a career in translation, can prove an adequate level of language knowledge.
Students can choose between two strands: English – French and English – Italian. The course offers core modules and a number of specialist optional modules:
- Translation of Business Texts
- Translation of Literary Texts or Texts in the Field of Social Sciences and Humanities
- Translation of Legal Texts
- Career prospects
Graduates can productively engage in work in commercial or non-commercial environments, building on their language skills and linguistic knowledge, as well as on their broad general knowledge of problems, processes and phenomena in the field of social sciences, culture and humanities at the local, national and international level, or even in intensely internationalized work fields. The competences acquired within this study course lead graduates to pursue careers of translators, editors, journalists or even various specialist careers in linguistics.
